TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The Client means the person who signs the booking form or who otherwise makes the reservation and must be a minimum age of 18 years old. By making such a booking the Client shall be deemed to have accepted the terms and conditions for the whole group.
The Chalet is at the address of Grand Cré 1, Sarre, Aosta 11010, the upper apartment is two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a kitchen lounge diner, the lower apartment is one bedroom, one bathroom and a kitchen/lounge/diner.

To secure a booking we require a non-refundable deposit of £100 per person. Payment may be in the form of bank transfer. Self-catered – 50% of the total booking – Ski Lessons only (for self-catering from outside agent) – 50% of total amount
Within 2 months of the start of your holiday we require the outstanding amount.
Should you wish to book the chalet, please check with us that the dates are available so that the booking can be held (up to 5 days) until we receive your deposit, reservations will be confirmed in writing via email after receipt of the outstanding amount 2 months prior to holiday.
If the balance is not received 2 months prior to the date of commencement of the holiday, then the booking is considered cancelled, without further notice, retaining full deposit and any cancellation fees.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
We strongly advise all clients to arrange suitable travel insurance to cover losses or claims. It is the responsibility of all guests or the Client in charge of the group to make arrangements for suitable insurance for themselves and those of their group.
Travel arrangements are not made by JD Ski and are the sole responsibility of the Client.
ALL GUESTS/CLIENTS
There will be a Company Agent either resident in the Chalet or nearby who can be easily contacted. The Agent is available to sort out aspects of the accommodation while the Client is in occupancy. Whilst every effort is made to ensure that the accommodation is in an acceptable order and with adequate equipment, JD Ski will not accept responsibility for deficiencies beyond its control. The Company shall endeavour not to surcharge your holiday cost but if surcharging is necessary we will attempt to keep any increase to a minimum and will advise the Client of the adjustments at the earliest opportunity.
The Client must comply with the maximum number of persons allowed to occupy the accommodation. If numbers are in excess of the maximum occupancy, or those agreed on booking form, the representative reserves the right to insist on vacation of the property by all group members.
SELF CATERED GUESTS
The apartment must only be occupied by the people named above on the booking form, it is forbidden for anyone else to occupy he apartment. It is the clients' responsibility to ensure that the accommodation is left in a clean condition, with replacement of all breakages. If this is not possible, the breakage should be reported to the Agent and paid for. The kitchen must be left clean: plates, saucepans, cutlery, etc must be washed and stored in the appropriate place; please bring the rubbish to the rubbish bins outside and ensure the correct bin is left outside the gate for the dustman each night (see list in the apartment).
JD Ski disclaims any liability for disputes between the client and the local Agents.
JD Ski does not accept liability for any act or default or omission on the part of the suppliers of any service that JD Ski offers and over whom JD Ski has no direct control. The Client will be bound by the operating conditions of the suppliers of the other services that make up the holiday. In no event shall the liability of JD Ski to the Client exceed the price paid for the relevant holiday or arrangement.
ALL GUESTS STAYING AT THE CHALET
ANIMALS
Dogs and cats (or any other animals/insects etc.) are not permitted to stay at the accommodation without the permission of JD Ski or their agent. There will be an additional charge in the event that an animal stays. Any damage caused by the animal must be paid for before vacating. The animal is not the responsibility of JD Ski or their agent in the circumstances where they have to enter the property for the purposes of investigating noise, disturbance or maintenance. (see also damages and smoking below)
DAMAGES – Any damages must be replaced like for like BEFORE leaving the property or if this is not possible then the cost of damages must be given to the owner/agent BEFORE leaving the premises to cover any items damaged or broken. Alternatively the cost of damages will be taken from the deposit (in the case of self-catering guests) BEFORE the remainder of the deposit is returned to the guest. If damages are not notified by the guest to the owner/guest there will be comments made to the booking agent (ie Booking.com/VRBO etc.) which other hosts have access to and this may result in the guest NOT being able to book via this agent in the future.
NO SMOKING – Smoking is not permitted in any part of the accommodation including the garden and on the balconies. If there is a smell of fresh or stale smoke within the premises then a charge will be applied of 250 euro to make every effort to remove the smell. In the interests of others and to save complaints, please step away from the building to smoke.
JD Ski shall be entitled to recover from the client costs for damages or losses caused by the client or a third party. If the client fails to do so, the client must indemnify JD Ski against any claims (including legal costs) subsequently made against JD Ski or its agents as a result of the client's actions.

JD Ski and its agents reserve the right to terminate the holiday of any client whose behaviour or that of any of the Client's party is considered to be inappropriate or unacceptable. Parties must not be held at the accommodation and noise kept to an acceptable level after 10pm.
JD Ski shall be entitled to recover from the Client at the time the cost of repairs or replacements of any damage or loss caused by the Client or any member of his party, either to JD Ski or a third party. If the Client fails to do so the Client must indemnify JD Ski against any claims (including legal costs) subsequently made against JD Ski as a result of the Client's action.

If there are any problems with regards to the condition of the accommodation, and any inventory discrepancy if applicable the Client should contact the Agent/host directly on a number which will be supplied at the time of booking.
JD Ski or their agent has the right to enter the property at any time if there is any complaint about noise or any disturbance and for maintenance purposes. JD Ski will make every effort to contact the client to inform them however if this is not possible then entry to the accommodation will be made without permission.
JD Ski disclaims any liability for disputes between the client and the local Agents.

English Law
Any contract between the Client and JD Ski will be governed in all respects by English Law. Only English Courts shall have jurisdiction in relation to any claim or dispute arising out of or connected with any such contract.
SKI LESSONS
All instructors act on an independent self-employed basis and abide by the regulations set out by BASI (British Association of Snowsports Instructors) and the Valle d’Aosta Association of Tourism and Sports.
Clients will be met at the top of the main funivia (opposite the Yeti restaurant) or a place agreed by the instructor at a time agreed by the instructor and the lesson will commence from that time.

If the client or a member of his/her group, does not arrive promptly then the remainder of the group will continue the lesson and the lesson will be lost by the client/group member and not refunded, see below
Insurance and Liability
The instructor will endeavour to keep all members of the group safe but will not be responsible for any accident, loss or damage. All members of the group ski at their own risk. WE ADVISE THE CLIENT TO ENSURE THAT THEY AND THE MEMBERS OF THEIR GROUP TAKE OUT SUITABLE
INSURANCE.
JD Ski do not cover you for medical or rescue costs, against cancellation losses, against the clients’ own liability to third parties, or any other type of insurance. Most sporting activities have an element of danger and skiing is no exception. Please ensure all members of your party have suitable insurance cover in respect of medical and rescue costs, cancellation, and liability to third parties. We recommend that you are adequately covered by a comprehensive winter sports insurance policy from a licensed agent. Some insurance may also cover lift closures due to adverse weather conditions. JD Ski does have Public Liability Insurance.
Cancellation of lessons by JD Ski or the Instructor
JD Ski reserves the right to cancel its lessons for a variety of reasons (such as instructor illness). Full refunds of unused lessons will be made in this instance if an alternative lesson cannot be provided. This does not apply to cancellation due to the bad weather and/or lift closure JD Ski is not liable for any costs arising from lesson cancellations or transfers that we have to make in these instances.
JD Ski may have to change the starting point of a lesson and will give no less than 1 hours’ notice where this is deemed necessary in the opinion of the instructor due to adverse weather conditions, poor snow conditions, lift closure, or the skiing ability of the client or others undertaking instruction with the client.
Failure to arrive for lessons
Should clients not show for the lessons booked and paid for, through ill health, injury or any other valid reason, no refund will be given. Nor will any refund be given in the event of lift closures due to adverse weather or other circumstances outside the control of JD Ski. However, we will, if requested, provide a letter for submission to the client’s insurers setting out the fact of cancellation and the reason given by the client, or confirming the fact of lift closures.
We will not teach children in Group lessons who are under the age of 5 but can provide private lessons for 4 year olds. We do not teach children of less than 4 year old.
Group lessons
These can vary in ability due to people’s understanding of their level and our description, we reserve the right to re-arrange participants and instructors undertaking group lessons, as we see fit, for the benefit of the group and individuals. But this is at our discretion and availability. Changes cannot be demanded by the clients but will be taken into consideration.
Health Conditions
To ensure that we can provide the best, most enjoyable and safest lessons for you and your family or party please provide us with any relevant health & injury information which can enable the instructor to look after you and all within the group. This information should ideally be provided by email before you arrive in resort, but if you have not done so please provide it directly to the instructor on the day (please help us to help you).
Price for lessons only
Booking with us is purely for the participation of the lesson and does not include the hire of any equipment, uplift ticket or personal insurance.
Quality of Service/Complaints
If our service does not meet your expectations, please speak with your instructor and contact JD Ski to see if we can resolve the situation for you.
CANCELLATION AND CHARGES – please ensure you take out adequate travel insurance and read the small print
Cancellations for any reason by you for accommodation at the Chalet or for ski lessons (for lessons also see below) will only take effect when written confirmation via email is received by JD Ski and the following cancellation fees will become immediately payable.
Cancellation or alteration by JD Ski - In the unlikely event that JD Ski has to alter or cancel your holiday or ski lessons, the Client shall be offered comparable accommodation or alternative dates, unless the cancellation or alteration is due to forces beyond the control of JD Ski such as war, fire, floods, strikes, riots, natural disaster, political unrest or any other circumstances amounting to Force Majeure (beyond control of JD Ski).
Cancellation prior to 3 months before arrival date, you can ask for a full refund of accommodation only minus 50% deposit per person or in the case of self-catering 25% deposit is retained (retained for administration, bank charges etc.) JDSKI IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COST OF YOUR
TRAVEL OR ANY OTHER COSTS IN THIS EVENT
Cancellation less than 3 months before arrival date, you can ask for a refund of accommodation only minus the full deposit per person in the case of self-catering the 50% deposit is retained (retained for administration, bank charges and any due compensation for the instructor already booked for your lessons that week). JDSKI IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COST OF YOUR TRAVEL OR ANY OTHER COSTS IN THIS EVENT
Cancellation less than 4 weeks before arrival date. No refund is given. IT IS IMPORANT TO TAKE OUT TRAVEL INSURANCE TO COVER YOU AND YOUR GROUP IN THE EVENT YOU HAVE TO MAKE A CANCELLAION – PLEASE READ THE SMALL PRINT OF YOUR TRAVEL INSURANCE TO ENSURE YOU ARE FULLY COVERED. JDSKI IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COST OF YOUR TRAVEL OR ANY OTHER COSTS IN THIS EVENT

FOR CATERED GUESTS ONLY If a cancellation is made of only part of your group; it is up to the discretion of JD SKI to rebook the empty rooms even if you have booked for sole occupancy of the accommodation. You may be able to renegotiate costs at the time of cancellation only, to ensure sole occupancy. Please enquire at the time of cancellation.

FOR SELF CATERED GUESTS ONLY If a cancellation is made of only part of your group the party leader/lead person on the booking form can either fill the rooms with the same amount of guests informing JDSKI of new guest details or pay the agreed price for the apartment which is booked as an entire unit.
PRIVACY POLICY Any personal information provided whilst using our Website will only ever be used to provide and enhance the Service offered. Personal information provided by users of the Service (email address, name, telephone number, details of specific request and other information volunteered) will never be passed on to a third party without permission from the user. However, we reserve the right at all times to disclose any information as permitted or required by prevailing law to satisfy any law, regulation or government request.
This personal information is held in our system. We are committed to keeping your information private. The Website uses cookies to retain certain aspects of each user's activity in order to provide the best experience possible. The Website logs details that your browser sends to us which includes your device's Internet Protocol ("IP") address, browser version, pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, and other statistics.
Users may exercise their individual rights regarding their personal information simply by sending a request to us to unsubscribe. All requests will be handled within a week of receipt of the request.
Any contract between the Client and JD Ski will be governed in all respects by English Law. Only English Courts shall have jurisdiction in relation to any claim or dispute arising out of or connected with any such contract.
